Krimper Cafe

SPECIALTY:

Just Toast , Coconut Bircher Chia Pudding , Buttermilk Pancake , Almond French Toast , Krimper Burger , Roasted Pumpkin & Quinoa Salad , Chicken Karaage Burger.

Here’s The Deal:

The design concept behind Krimper was to allow the history of the building define its own character and tell its own story. While this sounds simple and easy, nothing could be further from the truth.

The interior design uses minimal lighting against water-blasted brick wall and Japanese-stained ply creates the sense of a warm and welcoming hearth. The café tables and chairs are made from recycled lift doors and old timber pieces that were obtained on site. The dis-used, 100-year-old lift car and mechanical wheels are used to recreate an inside dining booth, which has become a key feature of the café and the space area.

Seven Seeds on Berkeley St, Carlton was born in 2007 initially to roast coffee for Brother Baba Budan established a few years earlier, with Seven Seeds developing into a cafe-roastery model. The goal was simple – to source directly and explore the best brewing practices. Carlton was bursting at the seams, so a dedicated roastery & HQ was established in 2016. We’ve come a long way, but remain rooted in the sustainable principles that guide the decisions we make.
