Dr Arnold Ng is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, adjunct Associate Professor at Centre for Advanced Imaging (University of Queensland) and visiting Associate Professor senior fellow at The University of New South Wales, Sydney. He is a graduate of the University of New South Wales, where he also obtained his first PhD in advanced echocardiography. He completed his second PhD at Leiden University Medical Centre in The Netherlands with Professor Bax, in state-of-the-art multimodality cardiac imaging including echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging.

Dr Emma Ivens graduated from Monash University in 1997 with first class honours and completed her physician and cardiology training at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. Dr Ivens has also completed a post graduate echocardiography fellowship at the Prince Charles Hospital, University of Queensland, followed by a further year of specialized training in advanced echocardiology at St Paul’s Hospital, University of British Columbia, Vancouver Canada. On her return to Australia in 2007, she joined Queensland Cardiology at the Holy Spirit Northside Hospital in Brisbane and is also employed as a VMO specialist at the Prince Charles Hospital. She is widely published in the areas of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, valvular heart disease, complex aortic pathology, pericardial disease and procedural echocardiology including ASD/PFO device closure and in the emerging area of percutaneous heart valves.

Dr Michelle Butler completed her undergraduate training at the University of Melbourne and St Vincent’s Hospital Clinical School. She then went on to complete her residency at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, followed by advanced cardiology training at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. Dr Butler then pursued subspecialty training in non-invasive cardiac imaging, completing an imaging fellowship at The Alfred Hospital which encompassed all aspects of echocardiography (transthoracic, transoesphageal and stress echo) as well as training in cardiac MRI and cardiac CT. She has also been involved in cardiac magnetic resonance research.

Staff cardiologist at the Princess Alexandra and Mater Adult Hospitals in Brisbane, commences private practice as a founding partner at Brisbane Heart in September 2014. He completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree before graduating from Medicine with first class honours and a university medal from the University of Queensland. Adrian completed his cardiology advanced training and clinical echocardiography fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital followed by a two-year clinical and research imaging fellowship at St Michael’s Hospital and the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute (University of Toronto) in Toronto, Canada. Mahala is a clinical Cardiologist and Advanced Echocardiography specialist with expertise in noninvasive cardiac testing, including exercise and dobutamine stress echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography, contrast and strain imaging. Mahala completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2003. Prior to this she completed an honours degree in molecular biology at the University of New South Wales. Mahala completed her advanced training in cardiology at The Prince Charles Hospital in 2010. She then completed a 2 year clinical fellowship in Advanced Echocardiology at The Prince Charles Hospital, refining her skills in all aspects of echocardiography in a broad range of settings from outpatient to critical care. Dr Vagish Singh is Cardiologist and has been practicing at the Wesley since 1991. Dr Singh graduated from University of Queensland and undertook cardiology training predominantly at Prince Charles Hospital. He completed further advanced training in ICD/CRT therapy for heart failure, and CT coronary angiography in the United States of America. Dr Singh is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand and a member of the Society of Cardiac Computed Tomography and the Australian Medical Association.

Jeremy is one of the few Cardiologists in Australia with real expertise in multi-modality cardiac imaging. His undergraduate training was at the University of Western Australia with his residency and Cardiology training at Royal Perth Hospital. After an Echocardiography Fellowship at Hearts 1st, he completed a Fellowship in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) and computed tomography (CT) at Gasthuisberg University Hospital in Leuven, Belgium. He has joined Hearts 1st where he practices clinical cardiology, cardiac catheterisation, and all aspects of echocardiography, and he is the director of the CMR and CT coronary angiography service at Queensland X-Ray Greenslopes.

Dr Arun Dahiya is a staff Cardiologist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital as well as Logan hospital. He completed his cardiology training at Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2009.He returned to Brisbane from USA in 2012 after completing his two-year advanced cardiovascular imaging fellowship at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic, USA. He is also a senior Lecturer at both University of Queensland and Griffith University and is routinely teaching medical students. He is an invited speaker at national and international conferences and has authored several journal articles as well as book chapters. Apart from general cardiology, he is best known for his work in pulmonary hypertension, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease and cardiomyopathies including pericardial diseases. He has been recipient of research awards and is on the reviewer panel for major cardiology journals including Circulation.

Dr Michael Yeong is a compassionate paediatric cardiologist with special interests in general paediatric cardiology, echocardiography, cardiac MRI, and adolescent/adult congenital heart disease. Graduating from the University of New South Wales in 2002, Dr Yeong then went to complete extensive training in general paediatrics and paediatric cardiology. He was awarded a Fellowship in paediatric cardiology from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2013 and general paediatrics in 2014. Recognising his passion for cardiology, Dr Yeong pursued a paediatric cardiology training at Starship Children’s Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand and Mater Children’s Hospital, Brisbane. He subsequently trained in paediatric and adult congenital cardiac MRI at the Boston Children’s Hospital, USA. He is level III SCMR accredited.
