My first year at the university, filled with academic incentive and commitment, earned me the top student for the year and immediate entrance into the 5 year chiropractic degree in Melbourne. This reinforces my philosophy that anyone can achieve anything, given a clear objective. It is a privilege to help people in such a powerful way. We make it a point to explain everything in advance, answer questions and attempt to over communicate. I find that patients appreciate that.

I am a chiropractor who has treated patients of all ages and all walks of life. In my past, I have volunteered on chiropractic trips treating people in the impoverished community of Siliguri, India in 2014 (as a part of “Hands-On India”), as well as in rural parts of Western Australia such as Tom Price and Paraburdoo in 2015. I believe everyone can benefit from the effects of chiropractic treatment but one must be open to change for the better. As a chiropractor working within the heart of the city, I naturally love to see and treat office workers with stubborn neck, mid-back, and low back pain and educate them in the importance of preventative spinal care.

I was really into high-level surf life-saving competitions from a young age, competing at a national level. At age 12 I had a recurring hamstring injury that bothered me for a year or so. Everything I tried couldn’t quite resolve it until I went to a chiropractor and had my pelvic alignment sorted out. I’ve always been interested in sports, health and fitness, and chiropractic allows me to help others manage their injuries and improve their performance. I’m also very interested in nutrition, having juggled some digestive issues in the past and learned what a huge part nutrition plays in our health.

Kevin Carlson is a highly qualified and experienced Doctor of Chiropractic and has worked in this profession since 1992. He had successful clinics in California, Washington and Vancouver Island in Canada prior to moving to Western Australia. Kevin has established a family clinic in North Perth and offers his patients a range of techniques including a unique method of spinal health care that is new to Australia, but well respected in many countries of the world. He believes many problems originate from the neck, which can affect the spine and cause various symptoms and an array of conditions. The NUCCA method of treatment is a subtle correction of a small misalignment of the upper neck, which restores the optimal balance of the entire spinal column. Kevin’s approach to his patients is simple. He likes to make as much improvement in as few visits as possible and to help people to take control of their own chiropractic related problems.
