Bruno’s Truffles was originally conceived in Narrabundah, a suburb of Canberra, in 1984 by Bruno Ehrensperger, who immigrated to Australia from Switzerland in 1983. Bruno is a Swiss baker, pastry cook and confectioner by trade, and he happens to make THE most delicious chocolates! After arriving in Canberra in 1984, Bruno worked as a pastry cook and baker before starting his own business in Narrabundah making chocolates. In 2004 Bruno’s Truffels relocated to Mawson. Bruno has delighted his customers with his delicious hand-made chocolates and offers a range of more than 50 varieties, including 25 different fresh-cream, butter-based truffels.

In 2001 Koko Black set off to discover the essence of chocolate which we felt was not being fully expressed in Australia. We had the idea that chocolate could inspire, connect and ignite the senses and dreamed of creating something unique and special. We travelled to Germany to learn the art of making chocolate from the bean and then on to Belgium where we met a passionate and talented chocolatier, who later helped kick start the development of Koko Black’s chocolate signature.
