S.H.A.K.E Dance School started in 1998 in New Farm with 2 jazz classes and 9 students. It began as a part-time bit of fun for the principal and quickly expanded into a great big fun school filled with enthusiastic and talented students. We now do 7 different genres of dance, eisteddfods and over 200 exams each year. S.H.A.K.E dancers regularly perform at school fetes and community events and we have two major concerts at the end of each year. Our students have gone on to further their education with the Queensland Ballet, QUT Fine Arts and others. We were the first Queensland studio to have a student pass the highest level of ballet with the CSTD. We pride ourselves on having a welcoming atmosphere and producing dancers with a positive attitude and great work ethic.

Annette Roselli trained at the Royal Ballet School, London and danced professionally overseas for more than 10 years. The studio offers classical ballet from 3 years to advanced as well as contemporary, jazz, tap, musical theatre, hip hop, acrobatics, progressing ballet technique and adult classes in ballet. The main aim of the school is to develop each child to their personal best and to do so in an enjoyable way. We realise that not every child is going to be a dancer, but every child can dance and will benefit greatly by doing so. All classes are run on a regular basis with students divided into their classes according to age, category and standard. This enables each student to progress at a consistent rate, specifically designed for them.
