Dr Matthew Cho (MBBS (Hons), B. Physio, FACD) obtained his medical degree from the Flinders University Medical School, where he graduated with first class honors in 2012. He completed internship and two years of basic physician training at Royal Adelaide Hospital prior to commencing Dermatology training in 2016. He has extensive experience in the management of complex medical and surgical dermatological conditions through comprehensive training received from Royal Adelaide Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre and Royal Darwin Hospital, and in paediatric dermatology at the Women’s and Children’s hospital. During training, he was awarded Brenan Prize by Australasian Dermatopathology Society in 2017. A published author in multiple international peer-reviewed journals, Dr Cho is interested in all facets of adult and paediatric medical and surgical dermatology.

Dr Jeff Wayte is a graduate of the University of Adelaide and a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists after training in Ireland, England and Adelaide. He works in private practice with Dermatology SA and is a senior visiting medical specialist at both the Royal Adelaide and Womens and Childrens Hospitals. He is a clinical lecturer at the University of Adelaide and recently completed a 4 year term as South Australian Director of Training for the Australasian College of Dermatologists. He remains involved in undergraduate and post-graduate teaching with a particular interest in paediatric dermatology, surgical dermatology and laser treatment of vascular lesions.

Dr David Burdon-Jones trained as a dermatologist in Adelaide and has extensive experience in both private practice and at teaching hospitals, in Australia and overseas. He has been Chief Examiner and State Examiner for the Australasian College of Dermatologists, as well as holding the positions of Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Queensland, and Honorary Clinical Lecturer at both Adelaide University and Bristol University. He has been involved in clinical research and developed the Patient Reported Outcome Measure – Skin Cancer Quality of Life Assessment Tool. He has published in the Australasian and International peer-reviewed dermatology literature.

Dr Maiolo is a qualified dermatologist experienced in the medical and surgical treatment of skin, hair and nail conditions. She also has an interest in cosmetic dermatology. Dr Maiolo graduated from the University of Adelaide with an MBBS and is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatology. She has worked and trained in metropolitan and rural locations throughout South Australia as well as in Darwin, Wollongong and Launceston. She founded myPRODERM in Mount Barker in 2019 to service the Adelaide Hills region. Since then, the clinic has also established a presence on the South East side of the CBD, increasing accessibility for commuters and for people living and working within the CBD. Dr Maiolo has published in international peer-reviewed journals and is a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr Cassandra Chaptini is a dermatologist who is a Fellow of The Australasian College of Dermatologists. She graduated from The University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2013. Subsequently she undertook specialty dermatology training in Adelaide, gaining extensive experience working at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. During her training, Dr Chaptini was awarded the esteemed Australasian College of Dermatologists’ Travelling Fellowship at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, London. Spending two years working at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London, she gained exposure to a range of sub-specialty and rare dermatological conditions.

Dr Catherine Black is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and a member of the Australasian Society of Cosmetic Dermatologists. She is a published author in a number of Australian and international medical journals and has performed research in the use of embryonic stem cells. She received numerous prizes and awards during her undergraduate and postgraduate training. Catherine studied Medicine at Flinders University, graduating with honours. Prior to this she graduated with first class honours in Biochemistry from Adelaide University. She undertook her dermatology specialty training in Adelaide at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital, Royal Adelaide Hospital, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Repatriation General Hospital and Flinders Medical Centre. She is interested in all aspects of dermatology, but has special interests in cosmetic dermatology, skin cancer management (both surgical and non-surgical) and hyperhidrosis (Botox).
