Dr Marcin Stankiewicz is quite a mouthful, so many of his patients call him Dr Marcin. Dr Marcin is a highly trained gynaecologist who has specialised in fertility for men and women. He is one of only a handful of specialists in Adelaide with a CREI qualification:Certificate in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Until recently he worked for the various IVF clinics in Adelaide since 2002. He can offer unbiased advice on the merits of each service. Tien completed his medical degree at Flinders University in 2007. Dr Michael Horowitz was appointed to a Personal Chair at the University of Adelaide in 1995 and has been the Director of the Endocrine and Metabolic Unit at the Royal Adelaide Hospital since 1997. His research activities are almost exclusively clinically based and relate primarily to gastrointestinal motor, sensory, and hormonal function, particularly in the context of diabetes mellitus, appetite regulation, critical illness and aging. Professor Horowitz leads the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Centre of Research Excellence (CRE) in Translating Nutritional Science to Good Health (2012-17).

Dr Ana McCarthy is a Specialist Physician in Endocrinology with a special interest in Obstetric Medicine. She graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Surgery in 2007, and prior to that from The University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science). During her medical training she has also obtained a Diploma of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2010. She undertook Basic Physician Training at Flinders Medical Centre, and Advanced Physician Training in Endocrinology at Flinders Medical Centre and The Lyell McEwin Hospital, and attained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2018. Ana has presented at several national conferences in Endocrinology and Obstetric Medicine, and has a strong research interest in the area of diabetes in pregnancy. She was the winner of the Australasian Diabetes in Pregnancy Society Clinical Research Grant in 2018 for a study looking at Flash glucose monitoring in pregnant women with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

Dr Chinmay Marathe is an Australian-trained endocrinologist and a postdoctoral fellow based at the University of Adelaide. He undertook specialist training in diabetes and endocrinology at Royal Adelaide and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals followed by postdoctoral training in the United Kingdom (King’s College London). Dr Marathe is a past recipient of the Australian Diabetes Society Skip-Martin Fellowship. He holds membership of the American Diabetes Association, European Society for the Study of Diabetes, Diabetes UK and the Australian Diabetes Society. Dr Marathe maintains an active interest in diabetes research and publishes regularly in international peer-reviewed journals. He was awarded a PhD in 2016 (University of Adelaide).
