Dr Sritharan subsequently travelled to the USA for further subspecialty fellowship training. This involved a 12 month competitive placement at TUFTS University, specialising in advanced sinus and sleep disorders in a program authorised by the American Rhinologic Association. He then spent a further period of advanced training at Harvard University, working at the world leading institutions Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary and the Massachusetts General Hospital, specialising in Head & Neck Cancer with a focus on thyroid disorders.

A/Prof Kalish completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) with first class honours, followed by general surgical and combined Surgeon-Scientist training. He acquired a Masters of Medicine from UNSW for molecular research at the Garvan Institute in Sydney, as well as a Masters in Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology (medical research and statistics) from the University of Sydney. On completing his FRACS in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery he spent time with some of the worls’s foremost Rhinologist (sinus surgeons) and Allergists in Sao Paulo Brazil, across the Unites States of America, London, Oxford UK and Milan, Italy.
