Ruby has been at the firm since November 2014. She started as the Office Junior, working in all the areas of the firm including Conveyancing , Family Law, Wills & Estates, Accounts and Administration. She is now working as a full time lawyer and was admitted in February 2019. This practical experience has been invaluable alongside her Law Degree and she has thorough knowledge of the day to day operations of a law firm. She also has experience in the areas of psychology having completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science. She has also completed her Graduate Diploma in Practical Legal Training at Leo Cussen Centre for Law in November 2018.

Elizabeth is a Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) Accredited Specialist in Property Law and Wills & Estates, one of only 5 solicitors in Victoria to be an accredited specialist in both areas. Lachlan Vallance, Will and Estate Lawyer, leads our wills and estates team in our Melbourne law firm and deals with all matters in a timely and sensitive manner with the utmost discretion. He provides advice on all estate planning matters, from drawing simple wills to more complex testamentary trusts, powers of attorney (financial &/or personal), advance care directives, appointment of a medical treatment decision maker, inheritances and superannuation issues. Lachlan also deals with deceased estate administration and obtaining grants of representation (probate/letters of administration), and can provide advice on challenges to wills and claims against estates. He has the practical understanding of the legal and taxation issues required to deal with all wills and estates matters. He can assist with your succession planning whether it be superannuation and life insurance or planning what will happen to your business. As Lachlan is from a farming family and understands the current social and economic factors that farming families are faced with he is well placed to advise our rural community on the realities of farm succession planning.

Tony was admitted to practice in 1977 and has been a Principal since 1982 firstly in Remington & Co. situated in South Melbourne, and thereafter Remington Wright & Co. in the outer eastern suburbs. Tony’s main areas of interest and practice are Wills and Estates, Commercial Law and Property Law. Tony brings 40+ years of experience in these areas to Argent Law and will continue to be at the Croydon office, however, Tony will also be available at the Richmond office.

David holds a Masters of Juris Doctor and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Studies from the University of Canberra, and a graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University. David practises as a Solicitor Advocate. David has extensive experience in commercial and business matters, and prior to being admitted as a lawyer, David owned and operated a successful business for 18 years, with approximately 35 staff operating in Canberra, the Murrumbidgee region of N.S.W., North East Victoria, Melbourne and Geelong. David therefore has experienced many of the issues which his clients may be facing. David provides practical, plain language, cost effective advice.

Fabio is a lawyer known by his clients for providing prompt legal advice that is commercially focused and meets business objectives. Having graduated with two bachelor’s degrees from La Trobe University, Fabio practises primarily in commercial law, property law and wills and estate planning, assisting his clients in a wide range of matters and often appearing in the Supreme Court, the Federal Court, VCAT and the Victorian Small Business Commission. Fabio was entered in the High Court of Australia Register of Legal Practitioners in February 2015 and is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria.
