Catherine founded Leach Legal in March 2004. Her practice focuses on complex family law, estates, complex financial, children’s cases and trials in the Family Court and business settlement matters. Before Leach Legal, in 1998 Catherine became a partner of DCH Legal Group, resigning in 2001 to form the partnership of Maughan & Leach. Framy Anne Browne is the lead partner of Lavan’s Family Law team and provides family law advice. Framy has had extensive experience with matters of considerable commercial and factual complexity, including matters involving complex financial arrangements, overseas interests, partnerships, superannuation, companies and trusts. Framy also has extensive experience in child related matters and has represented clients living in Australia and overseas in matters involving international law and relocation. Framy has represented clients in matters involving international proceedings in the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Asia. Prior to joining Lavan, Framy was a partner at Paterson & Dowding Family Lawyers where she worked for six years. Prior to making the move to Perth in 2009, Framy was at Watts McCray Family Lawyers in Sydney.

Debbie is an accredited family law specialist with over 21 years of experience in family law. She recently joined Clairs Keeley after a short period of time working in a variety of roles with Legal Aid Western Australia including a stint as one of the Duty Lawyers at the Family Court of Western Australia. She takes instructions in all areas of family law including children’s matters, child support, spousal maintenance, property settlement and financial agreements to name a few. She regularly advises and represents clients in Family Court proceedings. Debbie is passionate about helping clients to keep matters out of court. To this end she is a nationally accredited family law mediator and has recently completed a graduate diploma in family dispute resolution. In addition, Debbie is trained in collaborative practice and is a current member of Collaborative Professionals WA. Debbie is also regularly appointed an Independent Children’s Lawyer in family law matters having exercised such a role since 1996.

Sally was enrolled as a solicitor in Scotland in September 1997 and was assumed as a Partner of Kippen Campbell LLP in May 2009. In 1979, Anne graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Jurisprudence (Hons) and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1980. She has been practising Family Law since 1982 and became an accredited Family Law Specialist in 1994. Anne’s commitment to Family Law led her to undertake Mediation Training at the University of Western Australia where she completed the University’s ‘Alternative Dispute Resolution for Professionals Course’ during the first half of 2013. She has extensive experience in the full scope of Family Law practice and specialises in financial and child disputes, pre- and post-nuptial agreements and trials that involve both straightforward and complex matters.

Richard has practised exclusively in family law his entire career. The Law Society of Western Australia has recognised Richard as an Accredited Family Law Specialist. His contributions to family law include serving on the executive of the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of W.A., guest lecturing at university law schools, serving as a long-standing board member of W.A.’s largest community legal centre and making submissions to the Law Reform Commission regarding family violence legislation. Richard has considerable experience as a trial lawyer, having been the barrister in over 250 trials. This experience includes highly complicated financial and parenting matters in the Family Court of Western Australia, along with highly contested Violence Restraining Order proceedings in the various Magistrates Courts of Western Australia. These trials have often been heard by the court over a few weeks and involved complex expert evidence.

Andrew graduated from the University of Western Australia with a B. Juris and LLB and was subsequently admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia. He has been practising Family Law for over 40 years and is nationally accredited as a Family Law Specialist, mediator and arbitrator. Andrew has presented numerous papers and lectures at state, national and international conferences and has been a guest lecturer at Murdoch University Law School. He is also a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner registered with the Commonwealth Attorney General’s Department (FDRP), a fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL), an executive member of the Asia-Pacific Chapter of IAFL, former Chair of the Family Law & Family Rights Section of LawAsia and current Chair of Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators (AIFLAM).
