When Jen Byrnes and Patrick Laws opened Camp Hill’s Martha Street Kitchen in 2017, they could have only dreamed of the unwavering local loyalty the pizzeria receives. Inspired by their neighbourhood love, Jen and Patrick embarked on their second venture in the area in 2019, casual fish and chippery Perch’d. Perch’d is a predominantly takeaway venue open for lunch and dinner, with a simple-but-thoughtful staple menu filled with nostalgic fish-and-chip classics. Fish is sourced seasonally and, while the menu is simple, it doesn’t compromise on taste or quality. Drawing on his skills and experience, chef Patrick makes almost everything from scratch, including a special batter, hand-cut chips and house-made sauces. His creativity will be unleashed through inventive weekly specials, which will be dictated by availability from local fishermen and markets.
