The Food:
Handmade Pork & Garlic Chive gyoza (pan-fried Japanese dumplings) are our speciality but we also offer a vegetarian/vegan gyoza with mixed asian vegetables and our specialty seasonings. All gyoza are served with our house-made gyoza sauce. The gyoza are cooked in the traditional method of pan frying and then steaming to achieve the consistency of a soft, juicy dumpling with a crispy base.

OzHarvest was founded in 2004 by Ronni Kahn AO, after noticing the huge volume of food going to waste from her events business. Ronni did not set out to start a charity, rather just fix an obvious problem with a simple solution. Starting with one van in Sydney, she began rescuing food and delivering it to local charities.
As OzHarvest grew, Ronni and a team of pro-bono lawyers lobbied state governments to amend legislation allowing potential food donors to give their surplus food to charities without fear of liability. The Civil Liabilities Amendment Act was passed in NSW in 2005 and other states followed.

The story of Burger Head as you know is about those 3 young fellas who after working in fine dining institutions of Sydney brought out a casual eatery to the west. That’s the short version.
The story starts with one of our owners, Josh, in 2013. After completing his apprenticeship in Sydney and working as a Commis Chef he decided to fly across the world to Europe following his wanderlust and in search for Michelin Starred Restaurant Experience. His travels led him to Stockholm, Sweden where he worked at Mathias Dahlgren a 2 Michelin Star Restaurant.
Word spread about a new burger joint called Flippin’ and caught young Josh’s ears. On a day off the team went down to check out Flippin’ and Josh’s mind was blown. For the first time ever he had tasted what a burger could be and what a burger SHOULD be. He knew this was the future.

So back in 2012 my lovely wife was very pregnant with our 4th child and her craving was late night schnitzels. We noticed that all the places that served good schnitzels would close at 9pm and we couldn’t find a decent schnitzel anywhere after 9pm, so I started making them for her. It turns out I had quite a talent for making schnitzel.
During this time the Sydney City Council started their Sydney Food Trucks program, and as I seen what trucks were coming out and wondering if one of them would start doing schnitzels? Skip a couple of years and I noticed there were no trucks doing schnitzel. So, I started planning a schnitzel truck in 2014.
