I am excited to finally have a Bloody Mary recipe that I can share with you. Most store-bought spirits are full of preservatives and other undesirable ingredients. I’ve spent the last few years hunting for a delicious homemade Bloody Mary recipe, but my previous attempts either tasted flat or sent me running for water quickly because the flavour was too strong.
This recipe for a homemade Bloody Mary cocktail is perfect for people who enjoy the bloody flavour. This recipe is made with essential ingredients but tastes fresh, spicy, and complex all at once. They’re perfect for a party- guests will enjoy making them themselves in batches of four that you can whip up in your blender.
How to make Best Bloody Mary Cocktail at Home
Start with high-quality ingredients.
The tomato juice you use makes the Bloody Mary, so be sure to choose a good one. I like to buy organic since it tends to have lower levels of pesticide residue. Choose a high-quality vodka, too.
Add fresh cucumber, garlic, and black pepper.
Cucumber peels and seeds disappear into the tomato juice mixture but add a lot of fresh flavours. Fresh garlic and freshly ground pepper are essential flavours for the proper effects. After blending the mixture, add them to taste. You can also blend it longer or shorter, depending on your preferences.

Make a few at once
Making these cocktails one at a time can be a time-consuming process, so make four at once in your blender!
You could divide the recipe when making just two cocktails. If you are using a blender with a large capacity, you might be able to double the recipe (stir in vodka last).
Top with fun garnishes
When making a Bloody Mary Cocktail at home, use fresh garnishes like leafy celery sticks or little heirloom carrots. Add something brined, such as dill pickles or cocktail olives, to make it taste amazing.
Serve with a glass of water.
Mixing salty tomato juice with alcohol can lead to dehydration. Be sure that you keep a glass of water nearby when you enjoy this cocktail!
